Twilight is upon us, and the stars starts to ascend
we put our hands together, one prayer for every friend
One prayer less then days before
and one more then next dawn
Twilight is upon us, the sun will soon be gone
Further on and on, this narrow road
A deep-blue sky, a whispered why for no ones ears to hear
the stars are laughing their eyes out, one more dream disappeared
One more hope for better days so brutally evasive
To a deep-blue sky I whisper "how am I supposed to live"
Further on and on this narrow road
We should have lived forever and defeated the track of time.
We should have gazed into the world of living dead, still knowing we're alive
We're all strangers now, gazing out from bus-stops and cold dreams. Waiting, praying, hoping:
"Dear dear god (or whoevers there), grant us highways and a life eternal, hotel-rooms filled with friends"
And then?
The old get older,
the cold get colder,
and the young so distant and strange.
Further on and on
this narrow road
Twilight is upon us
and stars starts to ascend
we put our hands together
one prayer for every friend
One prayer less then days before
and one more then next dawn
Twilight is upon us, the sun will soon be gone
